HGV Class 2 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team near Truro. This is a full-time, temp-to-permanent opportunity ideal for someone who is committed to providing excellent customer service while delivering construction materials to businesses and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely deliver construction materials to business customers, ensuring timely and professional service.
  • Conduct routine vehicle safety checks and maintenance, adhering to company and legal safety standards.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the vehicle.
  • Ensure all delivery paperwork is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interactions with clients are handled professionally and courteously.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Requirements:
  • Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and HGV Class 2 license.
  • Proven experience in delivering to business clients, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Physically fit to handle loading/unloading construction materials when necessary.
  • A strong focus on safety and reliability.
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills.

  • Salary: £14ph PAYE
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
