About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Safran Engineering Services UK Limited. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating design activities to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate design activities across multiple projects
  • Participate in technical audits and ensure design deliverables meet quality standards
  • Develop and implement tools, processes, and methods to improve design efficiency
  • Report and forecast project status, updating key performance indicators (KPIs) as needed
  • Support Integrated Configuration Management (ITCM), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR) processes
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering
  • Significant experience in project leadership, with a full program lifecycle
  • Highly proficient in Catia V5 and experience using Smarteam
  • Strong planning and scheduling skills, with ability to manage multiple design modules
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to clearly define expectations and gain understanding
  • Experience managing a team
