Position Overview

Role Summary:

As a Lifting Equipment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of lifting and working at height apparatus. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability.

In this position, you will be primarily engaged in site-based activities, focusing on the inspection, functional testing, repair, and maintenance of various lifting equipment. This includes conducting proof load tests on equipment such as runway beams, davit sockets, swing jibs, and lift shaft eyes, as well as performing basic installations. You will also be responsible for generating detailed reports and certifications for equipment, particularly highlighting any failed components.

Additionally, you may conduct site surveys and provide expert advice to clients regarding the appropriate selection and utilization of lifting equipment. The TIC team also supports the lifting depot network by maintaining the hire fleet, enhancing team skills, and delivering tailored solutions to lifting-related inquiries.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Crane Engineer, Lifting Engineer, Fitter, or Hoist Technician.
  • Proficient in inspecting lifting equipment in compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations.
  • LEEA qualifications are highly advantageous, particularly in advanced areas such as Lifting Machines Powered, Runways & Crane Structures, and/or Overhead Travelling Cranes.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting team members as needed.
  • A strong customer-oriented mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A valid driving license is mandatory.
