About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Welding Engineer - Process Specialist to join our team at The Transcal Group. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our welding operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development and Implementation: Develop and maintain welding procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to welding personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified as either an International Welding Engineer (IWE) or European Welding Engineer (EWE).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong background in welding engineering and process development.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of welding procedures, quality control, and training methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Windows packages and numerical skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • International Regulatory Standards: Experience working with international regulatory standards, such as ISO 9001, 3834, and EN 15085.
  • Lean Six Sigma: Qualified or current experience in using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Planning Experience: Experience in planning, NPI, and product life cycle management.
