What does the role involve?

  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking breakfast items, vegetable preparation, and making sandwiches, as directed by the kitchen team.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned according to the established cleaning schedules, demonstrating your ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adhere to statutory and company health and safety regulations, prioritizing the well-being of residents and staff.
  • Properly store dry and perishable cook-chill goods as soon as possible after receipt and inspection, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Ensure the safe storage of cleaning materials, adhering to company protocols and guidelines.
  • Thoroughly clean all crockery, cutlery, and drinking vessels for resident use, utilizing the main kitchen dishwashing machine.
  • Clean and store all pots, pans, cooking utensils, and service counter containers to the required standards, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
