We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Heritage Consultant/Principal Consultant to join our team at Cameron Clarke Associates. As a key member of our Consultancy team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality consultancy services to our clients, including desk-based assessments, environmental statement chapters, and setting studies.

As a Senior Heritage Consultant/Principal Consultant, you will have a strong background in heritage consultancy and a proven track record of delivering successful projects. You will be responsible for managing projects, supervising staff, and ensuring the successful initiation and delivery of projects.

You will also be responsible for negotiating with clients and stakeholders, producing project reports and costings, and creating accurate, well-written, and persuasive documentation as needed.

In addition, you will assist in developing the consultancy service for the company by generating clients, leads, and winning new work, as well as training other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality consultancy services to clients, including desk-based assessments, environmental statement chapters, and setting studies.
  • Manage projects, supervise staff, and ensure the successful initiation and delivery of projects.
  • Negotiate with clients and stakeholders, produce project reports and costings, and create accurate, well-written, and persuasive documentation as needed.
  • Assist in developing the consultancy service for the company by generating clients, leads, and winning new work, as well as training other team members.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or above.
  • Experience of working in an office environment and conducting oneself in a highly professional manner.
  • Motivating and supervising staff and dealing with clients, curators, and the public.
  • Team leadership, line management, goal-setting, holding staff to account, and getting results through others.
  • Documented experience of producing high-quality desk-based assessments, environmental statement chapters, setting studies, heritage statements, WSIs, and delivering consultancy services to clients, including local authority and client negotiation.
  • Experienced in exercising sound judgment and delivering successful outcomes that take account of the subtleties and complexities that are often required in the provision of good independent consultancy advice.
  • Experience of quality assurance, including report checking of consultancy documents, evaluation, excavation, and other types of reports.
  • Experience of successfully working to deadlines, working under own initiative as well as in part of a team.
