Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, manage schedules, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery. Maintain clear and effective communication across project teams to facilitate smooth project progression.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring engineering activities—mechanical or electrical—are executed to the highest standards and comply with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Quality and Compliance Assurance: Ensure all project activities meet quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance and address any non-conformance issues.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. Ensure all parties are informed of project progress, risks, and issues, and manage expectations effectively.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with the project. Develop risk mitigation plans to ensure project objectives are achieved without compromising safety or quality.
  • Resource Management: Manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel. Ensure the availability of the necessary resources to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Ensure project activities are conducted with minimal environmental impact, adhering to both regulatory requirements and company environmental policies.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in an engineering or a related field (water treatment being highly beneficial)
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of project management principles, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate complex project activities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of construction contracts, project management software, and engineering design processes.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience and capability in either mechanical or electrical engineering within the water sector (desirable).
