About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled VAT Compliance Specialist to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Indirect Tax department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality VAT compliance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert VAT compliance advice to clients across various industries
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of client VAT compliance
  • Collaborate with senior managers and directors to deliver VAT compliance services
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements
  • Significant understanding of and previous experience within UK VAT
  • In-depth knowledge of recent key updates and areas of focus in the area of VAT
  • Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio
  • Ability to actively seek opportunities for selling new services to existing clients
  • Experience of dealing direct with HMRC
  • Experience of dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders
  • Ideal CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent
