Sports Coach

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join a dynamic school in Chesterfield. As a Sports Coach, you will play a key role in developing the physical abilities and teamwork skills of secondary students, helping them excel both on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging sports lessons and activities for secondary students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
- Student Motivation and Progression: Encourage and motivate students to participate in sports and physical activities, monitoring their progress and providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Training Programmes and Events: Develop tailored training programmes to meet the needs and abilities of individual students, and organise and lead school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Safeguarding and Child Protection: Promote a healthy lifestyle and positive attitude towards physical fitness, and ensure a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience as a Sports Coach or in a similar role, with relevant coaching qualifications or certifications.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of various sports and physical education techniques, ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities, and strong organisational and time-management skills.
- DBS and References: Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately, and provide two professional references from within the last two years that relate to your teaching.
