**Job Summary**
Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join their established finance team. As a Trainee Accountant, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in various finance disciplines, work closely with stakeholders, and study towards a professional qualification.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Process supplier invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in customer billings and master data management.
- Process self-billed payments and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Process staff expenses and mileage claims.
- Complete supplier reconciliations and ensure all invoices are processed on time.
- Allocate direct debits, standing orders, and faster payments.
- Monitor and resolve debit balances.
- Ensure all processing is in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective relations with the business by responding to queries promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain procedures documentation and provide holiday and sickness cover for the team.
- Complete tasks within deadlines and maintain accurate document files for audit purposes.
**Requirements**
- Strong Excel skills and IT literacy.
- Previous experience in Purchase Ledger/Billings.
- Experience in high-volume data processing.
- Good working knowledge of Excel.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- 'Quality in everything we do, get it right first time' attitude.
- Ability to work as a team player and follow procedures and guidelines to achieve successful team outcomes.
