HSBC Innovation Banking is seeking a skilled Credit Risk Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our Credit Risk Management team, you will be responsible for managing credit risk across our portfolio, identifying and escalating potential issues, and working closely with stakeholders to implement effective risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement credit risk reporting frameworks to inform business decisions.
  2. Lead credit portfolio analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with the Credit Risk Committee to develop and implement credit risk policies and procedures.
  4. Support the Senior Director in various risk committees, including the Board Risk Committee and Executive Credit Risk Committee.
  5. Review and challenge Expected Credit Loss (ECL) and Capital calculations to ensure compliance with IFRS9 and HSBC regional governance rules.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in credit risk management, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and manage complex projects.
  • Familiarity with credit risk concepts, including IFRS9 and Basel Capital Requirement Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
