About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team at mydentist. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a key role in our unique training scheme, working closely with NHS ICB teams to provide clinical supervision and guidance to overseas qualified Dentists.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Dentist looking to reduce clinical duties and focus on teaching and training. You will have the flexibility to work full-time or part-time, with the freedom to choose your working days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and assistance to overseas Dentists in a general dental setting.
  • Collaborate with the mydentist clinical team to monitor Dentists' progress and skills.
  • Attend relevant training and meetings assigned by mydentist for Clinical Supervisors.
  • Assess and rate the quality of treatment and professionalism of Dentists to meet clinical standards.
  • Maintain necessary skills, competencies, and continuous professional development for general practice and Dentist support.
  • Coordinate with the practice manager for a successful integration of Dentists into the practice.
  • Offer appropriate pastoral care to dental students during their time in the practice and report any arising issues.

Requirements:

  • Full GDC registration as a Dentist or specialist with an active NHS performer number.
  • Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience as a general dentist.
  • Preferred background in teaching or mentoring.
