Working Hours:
Flexible - Temporary Shifts Offered

Compensation:
Weekday Day Shifts: £18.00 P/hr (Including Holiday Pay)
Weekday Night Shifts: £20.00 P/hr (Including Holiday Pay)

Weekend Shifts:
Saturday: £22.00 P/hr (Including Holiday Pay)
Sunday: £24.00 P/hr (Including Holiday Pay)

Role Overview:


As a Transport Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating refrigerated vehicles to transport temperature-sensitive goods.
  • Executing trunking duties, driving along established routes for long-distance deliveries.
  • Conducting store deliveries, moving various products from distribution centers to retail locations.
  • Engaging in general haulage, transporting diverse goods between different sites.
  • Performing manual handling tasks, including loading and unloading of goods.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues to ensure vehicle safety.
  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and complying with all necessary paperwork as per company and legal standards.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
  • A valid HGV 1/C+E Licence.
  • No more than 6 penalty points and no DD/DR convictions.
  • A current valid DCPC and Tacho cards.
  • Knowledge of Driver's hours and WTD legislation.
  • The ability to perform necessary vehicle checks and report defects accurately.
  • Compliance with on-site health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills.
