Job Summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Audiologist to join our team in the Adult Audiology department. As a Specialist Audiologist, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice to patients and their carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex hearing and balance disorders.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals on audiological management and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in audiology and vestibular rehabilitation, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of audiology services and policies within the Trust.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Audiologist.
    • Postgraduate qualification in Audiology or a related field.
    • Proven experience in adult audiology, including vestibular and tinnitus management.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Knowledge of audiology software and equipment.
    • Ability to teach and train others.
