Senior Staff Nurse Position

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organized senior staff nurse to join our team in Belford Hospital's Combined Assessment Unit. The CAU is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, encompassing a 17-bedded acute admission ward, a 2-bedded enhanced care unit, and a GP referral unit.
As a senior staff nurse, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our GP referral service and ensuring the highest standard of patient care in a busy multi-specialty area. You will be responsible for organizing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, promoting quality improvement, and contributing to the education and development of staff.
This is a fully rotational post, with opportunities to work days and nights. We are looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking individual who is eager to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to the education and development of staff
- Ensure the highest standard of patient care in a busy multi-specialty area
- Shape the future of our GP referral service
Requirements:
- Two years post-registration experience in an acute care area
- HDU experience is desirable
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care
NHS Scotland is committed to reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
