Criminology Graduate Opportunity

We are seeking a Criminology Graduate to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant at a unique mental health school in Devizes. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work with children who suffer from mental health issues and behaviour challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and therapeutic support to students with childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, attachment disorders, and PTSD.
- Help mentor and guide students through the school day, ensuring their emotional and educational needs are met.
- Collaborate with Teachers, Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists to ensure the safety and well-being of each pupil.
Requirements:
- Bubbly and outgoing personality with a passion for helping vulnerable children.
- Criminology or Psychology graduate with a strong understanding of child development and behaviour.
- Ability to utilise knowledge from your degree to help identify triggers for negative behaviour and learning challenges.
What You Will Gain:
- Practical experience working with children who are vulnerable to criminal influence.
- De-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts or challenging behaviour.
- First-hand experience in a therapeutic setting, equipping you with skills for a PhD or Criminal Justice role.
About the Role:
