What is the Role?
Power Electrics is on the lookout for a Junior Financial Accountant to play a key role within our Finance team at the South West Headquarters. Reporting directly to the Finance Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to support various functions within the Finance department, particularly focusing on the monthly financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, adaptable, and self-driven, with a strong inclination to proactively contribute to the team and the broader organization.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly overhead accounts (including accruals and prepayments) within set deadlines. Reconcile balance sheet accounts accurately. Maintain fixed asset registers, including calculations for depreciation. Process monthly stock allocations to all departments. Ensure timely reconciliation of all stock control accounts, including conducting monthly and quarterly stocktakes. Manage daily bank transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts. Gather necessary information for new asset finance agreements and reconcile control accounts monthly. Upload invoices and credits to the invoice discounting facility and reconcile monthly statements. Prepare payment runs for suppliers. Investigate outstanding purchase orders and provide monthly reports on pending items. Conduct monthly analysis and reconciliation of petty cash. Process all cash-related expenses. Assist with Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger tasks as needed. Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required within the Finance department. Adhere to the Company Health & Safety Policy, ensuring a tidy work environment. Follow all aspects of the Company ISO 9001:2015 procedures, actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Skills and Qualifications
Part-qualified accountant or equivalent experience. Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated. Strong organizational and communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.What We Offer:
