Job Title: Personal Assistant Required for 42 Year Old with High Level Spinal Injury

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Leeds

Hours: Up to 2 x 48 hour weekend shifts per month, with flexibility to change as needed

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide 24-hour care and support to a 42-year-old individual with a high level spinal injury. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and domestic duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Prepare meals and snacks, as well as assist with feeding
  • Provide domestic support, including cleaning, laundry, and household chores
  • Accompany the individual on trips and outings, as well as attend social events
  • Assist with medication administration and catheterization
  • Provide emotional support and companionship

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role is essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move the individual, as well as perform manual handling tasks
  • Valid UK driving license and ability to drive a Motability vehicle
  • Non-smoker and no allergies to cats
