Audit and Accounts Senior Job Description

FamGuard Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for leading audits and preparing financial statements for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead audits for larger clients and prepare statutory accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Prepare corporation tax returns and draft corporation tax computations.
  • Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage your own time and that of junior staff members to ensure jobs are completed within budget.
  • Review junior staff work and provide feedback.
  • Complete stock takes and write up detailed notes and results.
  • Involve in planning the audit on small jobs.
Requirements:
  • Studying professional stage ACA or ACCA, or AAT qualified and wishing to study professional stage ACA or ACCA – with experience in practice.
  • Double entry bookkeeping skills.
  • Basic tax knowledge – how to prepare corporation tax computations.
  • Computer experience – Sage, Excel, Word, and ideally CaseWare.
  • Previous experience of supervising junior members of staff preferable (6-12 months experience).
  • Good up-to-date technical knowledge including recent developments in accounting standards.
  • Communication – oral and written, ability to deal with variety of people in different environments.
  • Organised – ability to deal with a variety of tasks and managing a varied workload.
  • Client focused.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Team building skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Be positive and committed to FamGuard Group of Companies in dealings with both clients and staff.
