About You:

As an integral member of the Asset Inspections team, your role as Quality Assurance Project Engineer is essential in delivering outstanding projects for our clients in the Water Industry. You will collaborate with a diverse team of water project specialists on various capital delivery initiatives.

Your primary focus will be on the quality assurance and quality control of our Water and Wastewater Projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. This role will involve supporting both pre and post-inspection activities, meticulously documenting findings, and implementing best practices to uphold the highest quality standards across all projects. You will work closely with project team members and clients to swiftly identify and resolve any issues while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in project delivery.

Your Responsibilities:

Support our asset inspection program by ensuring thorough evaluations and accurate reporting of our activities. Oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring that all work meets relevant standards and client expectations. Ensure adherence to client specifications and industry standards, implementing best practices and regulatory requirements. Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of all inspections and lessons learned to ensure transparency. Mentor a team of professionals conducting asset inspections, providing guidance and training to promote high performance and continuous improvement. Engage with clients regarding quality assurance and compliance matters, fostering strong client relationships. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in asset inspection methods and quality assurance processes. Attend sites as necessary to support the Asset Inspections Framework.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Background in the water industry, with significant experience in asset inspections, quality assurance, and compliance. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate execution of inspections and quality assurance processes. Ideally located in the central belt. Experience managing operations in high-risk environments such as confined spaces and highways. Familiarity with modern inspection methods, including unmanned aerial vehicles and GIS technologies. Proven experience working within integrated, multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex project outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to listen and ask pertinent questions. Driven to exceed client expectations and achieve goals. Demonstrated experience in managing performance and implementing change. Proficient in MS Office and relevant work management systems. Proven track record of reliability and adaptability.

Qualifications:

A degree in a relevant field is preferred, although substantial experience will be considered. A valid UK driving license is essential.
