Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the manager and step in during their absence.
- Support the nursery's objectives and aid in creating a high-quality environment for children aged 2 to 5 years.
- Lead a team of professionals, ensuring best practices are consistently followed.
- Help plan and organize staffing schedules and holiday rotas to maintain adequate staffing levels in line with local authority guidelines.
- Contribute to staff development and training initiatives.
- Be adaptable and support other nurseries in the event of managerial absences, ensuring the safety and care of all children.
Qualifications Required:
- A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification or higher
- At least 2 years of experience managing a team, such as a room leader or third in charge
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursery setting
