About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer with an electrical bias to join our Norwich office. As a key member of our team, you will provide engineering support to the practice, offering expertise in M&E engineering in the built environment. Your responsibilities will include design and project management, ensuring the successful completion of all projects to a high technical standard, within established timelines, and adhering to allocated budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support to the practice, offering expertise in M&E engineering in the built environment.
  • Design and project manage projects, ensuring successful completion to a high technical standard.
  • Undertake fee-earning responsibilities, participating in scheme design when necessary.
  • Execute assigned tasks from the team leader, contributing to the development of robust engineering solutions.
  • Engage with clients to define project requirements and present budget estimates.
  • Oversee site operations from initiation to conclusion as a project manager.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with specifications and reach agreements on contractors final accounts.
  • Conduct inspections of existing installations and generate condition reports.
Requirements
  • Degree/master's in Engineering.
  • Membership in the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The Energy Institute (or equivalent) - Preferred.
  • Possession of a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Proficiency in the use of IES (Mechanical) or Amtech (Electrical) design software.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations, and best practices.
