Position: Java Developer

Location: Burgess Hill, UK

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in hands-on software engineering, ensuring high-quality code and comprehensive unit testing.
  • Interpret business requirements effectively and contribute to the development and maintenance of applications.
  • Continuously refactor code, troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain high technical standards.
  • Write code that is robust, easily testable, and compatible across various browsers and web platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing enterprise-level server-side applications using Java as the primary programming language.
  • Strong expertise in Java programming, data structures, algorithms, web services, REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring MVC and Spring Boot, as well as messaging systems like Kafka and Solace.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools, unit testing, and providing operational support for applications as required.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS concepts and experience with databases such as Oracle and DB2, along with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, and Couchbase.
  • Experience with various mocking frameworks, test-driven development, and performance testing tools like JMeter and Postman.
