About the Role

We are seeking a Casual Support Worker to join our team at Westminster House in Newport, providing a respite service for adults with learning disabilities and complex care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, toileting, dressing, and feeding
  • Assist with on-site domestic duties, such as cooking and cleaning
  • Encourage and enable individuals to engage in activities and experiences that promote their well-being and independence
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a positive and supportive environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be:

  • Great at emotionally connecting with individuals and providing empathetic support
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Willing to learn and adapt to the needs of each individual
  • Committed to providing high-quality care and support
