Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Consultant/Analyst with 1-3 years of relevant experience in the energy sector. The successful candidate will ideally have 1-2 years of experience in energy modelling, with a preference for expertise in Plexos, although familiarity with other energy dispatch models will also be accepted. A foundational understanding of energy sector principles, along with a background in engineering or economics, is essential. Knowledge of national energy strategies and plans will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain energy sector models.
  • Analyze outcomes from energy dispatch models to deliver critical insights for clients.
  • Assist in formulating decarbonization strategies, integrating renewable energy and storage solutions into the grid, and creating development plans for the energy sector.
  • Compile and present comprehensive reports and presentations based on modelling results and analyses.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience within the energy sector.
  • Fundamental understanding of energy sector principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Prior experience with Plexos or similar energy dispatch modelling software is advantageous.
  • Experience in developing energy sector development plans and strategies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GIS for resource mapping (e.g., Solar, Wind) or experience with network load flow models will be considered beneficial.
