About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at The Bodmin Jail Hotel & Attraction. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance across our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional cleanliness and maintenance standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness meets or exceeds established standards
  • Address and rectify deficiencies promptly, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel
  • Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, including public area staff
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure high levels of performance and job satisfaction
  • Schedule and coordinate staff assignments to meet daily operational needs
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work culture, encouraging teamwork and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning equipment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
