Refrigeration Systems Specialist

GHA Recruitment Ltd is pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Refrigeration Systems Specialist. This role is a full-time permanent position focused on servicing various contracts in the HVAC sector across the London and South East region.

As a Refrigeration Systems Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to support our clients' objectives by ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and longevity of HVAC systems in compliance with current regulations. This is a mobile role, and a valid driving license is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on ventilation and refrigeration systems;
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair work across multiple contracts;
  • Respond to callouts during standard working hours and participate in the out-of-hours emergency callout rota;
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues as they arise;
  • Execute performance tests using specialized tools and make necessary adjustments;
  • Adhere to safety protocols by wearing company-issued personal protective equipment (PPE);
  • Provide clear and detailed service reports and timesheets.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems;
  • Experience with refrigeration systems and their controls;
  • Understanding of Legionella regulations and overall health and safety practices;
  • Ability to troubleshoot and service all HVAC control manufacturer equipment;
  • FGas 2079 Cat 1 certification;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer:

  • Standard working hours from 08:00 to 17:00, with flexibility for a 40-hour work week;
  • Competitive salary ranging from $40k to £45k, based on experience;
  • 25 days of annual leave, excluding public holidays;
  • Pension scheme available after three months of service (3% employer contribution, 5% employee contribution);
  • Opportunities for overtime, though not guaranteed;
  • Provision of a tablet and mobile phone;
  • Company uniform and vehicle provided;
  • Employee referral scheme offering £1000.
