Job Title: Band 5/6/7 Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our gastroenterology dietetic service at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist dietetic services to patients with complex medical and gastroenterological conditions.

The successful candidate will have experience in gastroenterology or a related field, with a strong understanding of current issues in healthcare and standards of professional practice. You will be able to demonstrate skills and experience in oral, enteral, and parenteral nutrition support, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist dietetic services to patients with complex medical and gastroenterological conditions
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in audit, research, and quality improvement projects to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Relevant postgraduate training and experience in gastroenterology or a related field
  • Strong understanding of current issues in healthcare and standards of professional practice
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with patients and colleagues
  • Experience in delivering clinical treatment and managing complex clinical presentations
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for patients
