Class 1 Day Driver

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 Day Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for making multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections to and from businesses and private addresses across North Devon.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
- Planning route on a day-to-day basis.
- Complete daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
- Working closely with the network hubs.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
- Must have a UK Class 1 Driving Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
- Pay rate for Class 1 Day Driver is £14.97ph, including holiday pay.
- This is a casual role covering sickness, holidays, and working in peak periods.
