Job Title: Specialist Occupational Therapist - Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

This exciting opportunity is part of the Children's Inpatient Psychiatric team at the Royal Hospital for Children. Ward 4 provides specialized treatment for children aged 5-11 with severe psychiatric disorders, often accompanied by neurodevelopmental disorders, physical health issues, and complex psychosocial factors.

We seek candidates with a broad range of clinical experience in Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental disorders. While pediatric experience is desirable, it is not essential.

You will join a dynamic and supportive clinical team, as well as the wider Tier 4 CAMHS OT team. Clinical supervision, caseload management, and mentoring are integral aspects of the role and service.

Continued professional development is crucial, with opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills. This includes full induction, Essential to CAMHS, peer support groups, shadowing, and Specialist Children's Service OT network and learning events.

Essential requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Be a car driver.

Ward 4 is a national service, accepting referrals from across Scottish Health Boards. On occasion, flexible working, including weekends, may be required to meet service needs.
