Job Overview

As a Process Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing process automation techniques for a specific asset. This includes:

  • Process control and optimization
  • Safety instrumented systems (SIS) design and implementation
  • Distributed control system (DCS) hardware strategies and configuration
  • Procedure development, standards, and documentation

This role requires a strong understanding of chemical engineering processes and the ability to provide plant commissioning support while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DCS/SIS engineer with a strong background in Honeywell TPS/Experion control systems and FSC/SM safety systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Honeywell DCS hardware, fault finding, and troubleshooting.

You will be responsible for managing petrochemical plant availability and maintaining fully supported and fit-for-purpose process automation solutions at the lowest cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement process automation techniques to improve plant efficiency and safety

• Design and implement SIS systems to ensure safe operation of the plant

• Configure and troubleshoot DCS systems to optimize plant performance

• Develop and maintain procedures, standards, and documentation for process automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in DCS/SIS engineering

• Strong knowledge of Honeywell TPS/Experion control systems and FSC/SM safety systems

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems
