Job Title: Senior Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join our team at Triumph Consultants Ltd. As a Senior Lawyer, you will play a key role in providing legal advice and support to our clients in the planning and highways sector.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in planning and highways law, with a minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, including planning and enforcement advice, remote planning committee attendance, and governance support. You will also be expected to offer supervision to junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert legal advice and support to clients in the planning and highways sector.
  2. Manage a varied caseload, including planning and enforcement advice, remote planning committee attendance, and governance support.
  3. Supervise junior members of the team and provide guidance and support as needed.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  5. Stay up-to-date with changes in planning and highways law and ensure that advice and guidance is accurate and compliant.
Requirements:
  • Law Society admitted and Solicitor Regulatory Authority registered solicitor, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives or Bar Standards Board registered barrister.
  • Minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role or context.
  • Experience of planning and highway law is essential.
  • Adequate experience of managing own workload.
  • Excellent communication and presentational skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages or equivalent.
