Job Title: Staff Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our Neonatal team in the Intensive Care Unit (ITU)/High Dependency Unit (HDU). The successful candidate will be required to work as required for the needs of the Neonatal service within the Children, Young People and Sexual Health Directorate.

About the Role

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a 2-bedded unit providing care for critically ill newborn babies. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill newborn babies
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans for patients
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
  • Participate in the education and training of junior staff members
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience of working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
