About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Security Engineer to join our team at bet365. As a key member of our Information Security Engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Monitoring and Alerting: Respond to and report on system alerts from various monitoring technologies, ensuring timely and effective incident response.
  • Security Tool Management: Implement and manage various security tools, including SIEM systems, to maintain a robust security posture.
  • Security Engineering Projects: Participate in security engineering projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure systems and services.
  • Security Investigations: Conduct thorough security-related investigations, analyzing data and logs to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with stakeholders to ensure that external documents are completed safely and that information security requirements are met.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, providing clear and concise guidance on security procedures and best practices.
  • Daily Security Checks: Perform daily routine security checks and verifications to ensure compliance with business requirements.
  • Audit Participation: Take an active role in audits, providing expert knowledge and support to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
  • Threat Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with new and emerging threats, escalating any threats of interest to appropriate teams for further evaluation.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in information security engineering, with a strong focus on cloud security and AWS.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS security features, including IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch. Practical experience with SIEM systems, network security, and cloud security frameworks.
  • Cloud Security: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including data encryption, key management, and PKI. Experience with cloud security tools, such as AWS CloudFormation and AWS CloudTrail.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, including Python, Java, and PowerShell. Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible and Puppet.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
