Job Title: Postal Delivery Driver

Location: Wishaw, ML2

Job Type: Temporary, 8 weeks initially

Pay Rate: £13.37 per hour

Working Hours: 5 days out of 7, 10:30 - 16:00

Overtime: May be available/weekend working required

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points (clean license preferred)
  • Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Commitment to safe and responsible driving practices
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weathers

Job Description:

Pertemps Scotland is delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting multi-drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers in the Wishaw, ML2 area. As a Postal Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and collect post/parcels at the local delivery office
  • Use a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries
  • Deliver mail and parcels to customers, walking at least 8 miles per day and carrying a bag that can weigh up to 16kg
  • Drive and deliver mail and parcels, pushing/pulling a trolley as needed
