About EDF EPR Engineering UK
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) operates as a subsidiary of Edvance, a collaborative venture between EDF and Framatome, established to oversee the design and implementation of nuclear facilities for upcoming projects in France and globally.
Specifically, EPR-E is tasked with the design and construction of the nuclear island for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) initiative and is preparing for design replication and engineering efforts for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
At HPC, we are in the process of constructing two advanced nuclear reactors, marking the inception of a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK, which will provide low-carbon electricity to approximately six million households.
Role Overview
As a Cost Control Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to consolidate and coordinate cost management activities for the HPC project across various teams including ITB, SST, CI-BOP, and UKMC within EPR-E.

Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting and reporting budgets for all HPC-EPR-E teams, including annual task orders, work orders, and estimates at completion.
- Conducting monthly analyses of budget, actuals, and accruals for work orders.
- Investigating discrepancies between actual budget performance and estimated work order performance for HPC-EPR-E.
- Managing the budget change process in accordance with project protocols.
- Assisting project controls managers and cost controllers in compiling budget estimates for annual task orders and work orders.
- Contributing to monthly Earned Value Management assessments.
- Supporting the Project Controls Manager in educating engineering teams about cost management processes through formal training and informal discussions.
- Providing analytical support to senior management in generating consolidated reports for HPC-EPR-E.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will possess some of the following qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Project Control, Project Management) with experience in project cost management.
- Expertise in cost performance analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with budget management and cost allocation practices.
- Proficiency in data consolidation and reporting, adhering to time and quality standards.
- Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and collaborative teamwork.
- Experience in cost control for large-scale projects is advantageous.
