Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure their needs are met.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of 8 Yard team members, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Reporting and Administration: Produce monthly reports to track yard performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support to Branch Manager: Provide support to the Branch Manager as required, assisting with tasks such as stock management and customer service.
  • Yard Operations: Ensure the yard is set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Order Processing: Assist with processing and preparing customer orders, loading and unloading customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimize manual handling.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Stock Management: Maintain accurate stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Branch Maintenance: Ensure the branch is kept clean and tidy, and that all equipment is in good working order.
