Senior Tax Professional

Barber Mclelland Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Professional to join our tax division in Swinton, Mexborough. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax compliance services to a diverse client portfolio, including High Networth Individuals, Directors, and Self-Employed individuals.

The successful candidate will have a background in an accountancy firm or specialist tax firm, with experience in preparing and submitting self-assessment tax returns and computations, as well as preparing corporate tax returns and dealing with queries from accounts staff on corporation tax issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns and computations
  • Prepare corporate tax returns
  • Deal with queries from accounts staff on corporation tax issues
  • Collate and maintain client information
  • Deal with client enquiries in relation to their tax issues and liabilities
  • Maintain direct contact with clients, HMRC, solicitors, other accountancy firms, law and professional services firms

Requirements

  • Background in an accountancy firm or specialist tax firm
  • Experience in tax compliance and advisory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
  • Proficiency in tax software and systems
