The Role
As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and support to a team of direct reports in the warehouse, establishing yourself as a key player in the Operational Management team. Your responsibilities will include planning, delegating, and monitoring the workload across all warehouse functions to meet operational service levels in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent performance and customer satisfaction.
- Plan and delegate tasks to ensure efficient use of resources and meet operational deadlines.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock management and minimizing waste.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Manage and resolve operational issues, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Excellent numerical skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
