About the Role

TEMPLEGATE RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paraplanner to support their financial advisors. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining client files, conducting research, and creating financial reports and plans, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client File Preparation
    • Prepare and maintain detailed client files, including gathering and updating necessary documentation.
    • Conduct initial and ongoing client risk assessments and needs analyses.
  • Financial Planning Support
    • Assist financial advisors in the development of tailored financial plans and strategies.
    • Create detailed and compliant financial reports and recommendations.
    • Analyse financial products and investment opportunities to support client objectives.
  • Research and Analysis
    • Conduct thorough research on financial products, market conditions, and industry trends.
    • Perform in-depth analysis of investment options, including risk assessments and performance reviews.
    • Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes affecting financial planning.
  • Compliance and Documentation
    • Ensure all client interactions and documents comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records of client communications and advice provided.
    • Assist in preparing documentation for compliance reviews and audits.
  • Technical Support
    • Utilise financial planning software and CRM systems to support the preparation of client reports and plans.
    • Develop and maintain proficiency in financial planning tools and technologies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Previous experience as a paraplanner or in a similar role within wealth management or financial planning.
    • Strong academic background; relevant financial qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, CII Diploma, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Experience with financial planning software and CRM systems (e.g., FE Analytics,Intelliflo).
    • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Personal Attributes
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
