Job Summary: As a Team Manager at the John Lewis Partnership, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will drive a culture of high standards and excellent service, ensuring that our customers receive a distinctively Waitrose shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate your team to achieve exceptional results, fostering a supportive culture of care, belonging, pace, and productivity.
  • Contribute to the Partnership's overall performance through exemplary shop keeping and people management skills.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the shop, using commercial skills to maximize sales and profit, customer satisfaction, and minimize wastage.
  • Empower Partners to act with authority and accountability, while enjoying satisfying work and cultivating a positive work environment.
  • Ensure consistently high levels of availability and merchandising, as well as delivering an efficient, legal, and secure store operation.

Requirements:
  • Experience of leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong leadership and team working skills, with the ability to motivate and develop your team.
  • Commercial skills, with the ability to maximize sales and profit, customer satisfaction, and minimize wastage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
