We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and provide contractor-side quantity surveying services for a major highways project. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior QS to take responsibility for post-contract responsibilities and provide core commercial services for our clients.

The Role
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Hybrid working arrangement – site-based in Derby (3 days per week), working from home (2 days per week).
  • Providing contractor-side quantity surveying services for a major highways project.
  • Must have experience working on highways projects, or other similar infrastructure projects such as utilities, rail, and/or other types of civils.
Key Responsibilities
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Have an in-depth understanding and experience of contractual and commercial processes.
  • Have contractor post-contract QS experience, taking full responsibility for main contract administration and client engagement.
  • Preferably have a degree in a construction or quantity surveying related discipline.
  • Preferably be a member of a relevant Professional Institution or working towards membership.
  • Have a good working knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Be client-focused and able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Be a self-motivated team player that demonstrates excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Be flexible, positive, and engaging, with a desire to learn and develop through exposure to different types of clients and projects.
