Corporate & International Tax Manager - London

As a Manager in our Corporate Tax team, you will have the opportunity to broaden your experience and knowledge across the wider business tax area.

Your role will be truly varied, involving a range of complex tax advisory projects and tax compliance and reporting work. This means you will have the opportunity to enhance your generalist technical skills and knowledge.

This group of about 60 tax practitioners focuses on international groups involved in oil and gas production, mining, power generation, renewable energy, and commodity trading, as well as a variety of other major corporate clients working on a global basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering complex cross-border tax advice
  • Tax accounting and tax audit support work
  • Corporate transaction support
  • Dealing with HM Revenue and Customs on technical matters
  • Tax compliance
  • Working closely with our transfer pricing and VAT technical specialists
  • Support with maintaining and building client relationships
  • Supporting the development of junior staff

Requirements

  • ACA/CTA qualified, or equivalent
  • Experience of advising clients on UK Corporate Tax issues
  • Exposure to international tax issues and M&A tax projects is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as sound written and oral skills
  • Experience of assisting in developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when working in diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them
  • The ability to exercise judgement and apply commercial thinking in making client recommendations
