About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Rail Systems Engineer to join our team at ETS Egis Transport Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the interface management process, ensuring effective communication and coordination between different rail subsystems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface Management: Develop and implement strategies to identify, document, and resolve interface issues during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to design, analyse, and optimise rail systems, including but not limited to MEP, Fire, signalling, train control, electrification, and communication systems.
  • Technical Assessments: Conduct technical assessments and provide expert guidance on system integration.
  • Project Coordination: Ensure alignment of interface management activities with project schedules, milestones, and overall objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to interface management and develop mitigation plans.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address issues to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to interface requirements, design decisions, and issue resolutions.
  • Reporting: Generate reports for project management and stakeholders on interface management progress and challenges.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Strong understanding of rail systems, including signalling, train control, electrification, and communication systems.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to rail systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyse complex issues and propose innovative solutions.
  • Project Management: Project management skills and the ability to work within defined timelines.
