About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architectural Design Lead to join our team at Azure Publishing. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of our projects, from research to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of detailed specifications, drawings, models, and presentation materials for interiors, buildings, and structures in accordance with project requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, directors, and other team members to coordinate design options and ideas.
  • Ensure design continuity throughout the development of projects.
  • Perform effective contract administration and manage project scope, deliverables, schedule, fee, and budget goals.
  • Review projects' code compliance, quality assurance processes, and constructability.
Requirements
  • Minimum ten years of post-graduate work experience in an architectural practice with significant experience in single-family residential projects.
  • Project management experience, including managing an internal team.
  • Previous experience using Newforma is an asset.
  • Completion of a Master of Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Experience with Authorities Having Jurisdiction, including building permit applications and Committee of Adjustment.
