Job Overview

Meriden Media is seeking a highly skilled Design and Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing the development of equipment and components, ensuring efficiency and safety are always maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design solutions for new and existing equipment/components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and testing processes meet compliance standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing of equipment and assist in the roll-out of training programs.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders and external experts to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Conduct and support HAZOP/LOPA assessments to identify potential risks.
  • Support design approvals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage spare equipment for preventive maintenance and ensure critical spares are stocked and readily available.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, productivity, and cost savings.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in industrial gas supply and a good understanding of gas regulations.
  • Chartered Engineering status or working towards it would be desirable.
  • Experience in HAZOP/LOPA assessments and project management.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in design software.
