Programme Finance Manager - Welsh Government Energy Service

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Programme Finance Manager to join our team at the Welsh Government Energy Service. As a key member of our Community and Renewable Energy team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of grant schemes, maintaining robust financial management of funds and grant claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, operate, manage, and refine financial systems to ensure fair and accurate distribution of grant funds and robust management and reporting of overall scheme finances.
  • Review grant scheme financial management processes, oversee their effective operation, and ensure quality assurance on scheme processes.
  • Manage and oversee checks on grantee reporting of finances and impact data, and review and sign off grant claims processed by other team members.
  • Support delivery of other Energy Saving Trust programmes when required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of financial management applicable to grant schemes.
  • Good understanding of the charitable and community sector and the unique challenges they face.
  • A supporting and collaborative mindset.
