We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Ethical and Packaging Manager. This role is critical in ensuring our supply chain, suppliers, and factories adhere to our ethical policies and standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesEthical and Packaging
  • Develop and implement packaging strategies that align with our sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure packaging meets our quality and cost-effectiveness standards.
  • Provide guidance on packaging compliance and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Review and maintain our supplier policies and code of conduct to ensure compliance with UN Guiding Principles and relevant legislation.
  • Identify and mitigate potential human rights risks in our supply chain.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure compliance performance.
  • Develop and implement a robust factory auditing process to ensure our suppliers meet our ethical standards.
Sourcing and Supply Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with global packaging suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, considering factors such as quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery terms.
  • Oversee new development, pricing, and quality with nominated print partners and hanger suppliers.
  • Assist with quality issues related to packaging, investigating counterfeit or non-compliant packaging.
Sustainability and ESG
  • Conduct regular store and competitor visits to identify opportunities for new packaging innovations.
  • Lead the development of our sustainability strategy for plastic reduction.
Packaging Waste and Legislation
  • Collect and submit packaging waste, plastic tax, and EPR data requirements.
About You
  • Previous experience as a senior leader in the ethical and/or packaging field.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to provide clear and concise information.
  • Experience in and understanding of legislation related to packaging waste.
