Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audit Director/Partner to join our Kendal office and provide leadership to our clients in the South Lakes region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and prioritization of client work, ensuring effective departmental workflow, and monitoring individual and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and prioritization of all relevant client work to ensure effective departmental workflow.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure appropriate levels of communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor individual and team performance versus original objectives and departmental KPIs.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members on their performance through informal '1:1' meetings and formal appraisals.
  • Build and maintain a network of business partners and intermediaries to promote Armstrong Watson's profile and generate referral opportunities.

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of UK taxes, including Corporation Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
  • Excellent knowledge and working experience of the International Standards on Auditing (UK and Ireland) variant.
