About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Expert to join our team at Westfield Health. As a key member of our Commercial Finance Team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transform large complex data sets into valuable insights for the business, ensuring the integrity of data and regular maintenance of underwriting tools and modeling.
  • Provide Management Accounts support, delivering insights into the monthly management accounts, assisting with the forecasting and annual budget processes.
  • Support the business in delivering sustainable growth through the development of pricing models, regular interrogation of underwriting data, evaluation of key risk factors, and application of statistical analysis to identify underlying data trends.
  • Provide deep, actionable underwriting insights and monitor performance of existing product portfolios to support the development of insurance underwriting and pricing.
  • Translate complex and technical information into everyday language, using engaging methods of communication and demonstrating the value of information-led decisions.
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to maintain, develop, verify, and enhance regular reporting of insurance performance.
  • Become the subject matter expert on Westfield's underwriting policy, to protect the integrity of the underwriting function and ensure risk acceptance reflects the organisation's risk appetite.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of underwriting data.
Requirements
  • A strong track record in delivering data evaluation, insight, and analytics reporting.
  • Financial modeling expertise.
  • Management accounts experience.
  • Advanced data analysis tools, macros, SQL, R, familiar with dashboard software (Power BI).
  • Comfortable with large, complex data sets.
  • Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.
